Reading about this reminded me of US Labor history, particulary the 1894 Pullman Railroad strike and the 1896 Haymarket Affair in Chicago.

The actions in Mexico against educators are reprehensible. These attacks must end.

As our NEA Hispanc Caucus Chair, Gladys Marquez, had stated, we are just one president away from having this done to American educators. Make yout vote count in November. Donald Trump cannot succeed!

Stop the violence and allow teachers and educators to develop productive citizens in your country. Informed citizens who are allowed to develop self-determination skills may not meet ur personal goals but will better the good of all.

A great informational video on the teachers’ struggle in Mexico is “Un Granito de Arena.” It’s a bit dated, but then, the struggle has actually been going on for years! This is just the latest phase.
