Introducing NEA Today’s School Me

What do you wish you’d known on your first day as an educator?

Whether it’s dealing with a larger class than expected, engaging with parents, or just trying to find time to use the copier — starting out can be a bit overwhelming.

That’s why, as part of NEA’s ongoing support for new and early career educators, we are expanding and rebranding NEA Today for New Educators into School Me.

School Me has blog posts, podcasts, and even DIY videos from a diverse group of educators who are here to help. Whether you’re looking for classroom management tips or advice on how to handle parent meetings, School Me has it all.

School Me features tons of fresh, mobile-friendly content geared toward supporting educators in their professional practice, particularly in those critical first five years. We’ve put an emphasis on ensuring that our content comes from some of our most experienced educators who can provide much-needed guidance, tips, and tricks-of-the-trade to those new to the profession.

The blogs and podcasts feature real stories from educators based on their own unique experiences and offer advice on how to navigate this dynamic profession. Always keeping it fresh, School Me’s DIY, social media-friendly videos offer step-by-step visuals for how to create fun and quick classroom activities for students. New content will be added every week.

Please share School Me as one of the best resources for new educators as they grow into seasoned professionals. Check it out at nea.org/schoolme.
